Kari's Children's Book Suggestions

This list of children's book suggestions comes from my friend Kari C.--who I have met exactly once and yet knew within minutes that we were kindred spirits. She is a teacher and a new mommy (for the second time) and I am trying desperately to lure her to this blog as a regular contributor. All this flattery, I know. I'm shameless. Kari, you have great tastes in children's books. Is the Sleeping House perhaps referring to the Napping House by Audrey Wood? That's a fantastic book.
