Our Favorite Christmas Stories

There are so many wonderful Christmas stories and books out there, aren't there?  It's hard to narrow them down, but here are some of our favorites:

Christmas Jars by Jason F. Wright
(Originally published as The Christmas Jar)

Mindy says:  It's your traditional, heartwarming, make you misty kind of feel-good book.  Plus it's short so you can zip through it in no time

How the Grinch Stole Christmas by Dr. Seuss

Kari says:  It gets at the heart of Christmas Spirit.

Humphrey's First Christmas by Carol Heyer

Natalie says: It's about a self-centered camel that is part of the caravan of the wise men. It's such a sweet, funny little book with beautiful illustrations.

The Best Christmas Pageant Ever by Barbara Robinson

Elizabeth says:  This is a great book that teaches that we may all celebrate Christmas differently (they gave the Christ child a HAM!!), but that doesn't mean we can't all appreciate what the season is about.

The Polar Express by Chris Van Allsburg

Heather says:  I love the magical world created by Chris Van Allsburg in Polar Express. The pictures are gorgeous and the story always makes me a bit teary. It contains both the magic and the sentiment of Christmas.

Little One by Pamela Reid

Emily says:  It's a great kids' story that ties Christmas with Easter and works great as a book for both holidays.
